Title

Community Groups and Campaigns

Description

The tenants’ movement in Glasgow has ebbed and flowed since the 1915 Rent Strikes but community-based struggles and campaigns have been a consistent source of organising in the city. In this collection we record a range of campaigns in Glasgow which are not explicitly on housing issues, but have important ramifications for social reproduction and community resources, from the Anti-Poll Tax Unions to food solidarity campaign in Castlemilk, and anti-poverty and health inequality groups, WestGAP and Chance 2 Change.
