Title
Living Rent Tenants and Community Union (2014- )
Description
A key focus of GHSA is to document and archive Living Rent’s formation and then evolution in real time. This material provides a repository for members of Living Rent to learn from past campaign strategies and to critically reflect on, and take ownership over, the development of the union in the present. It also offers a resource for other tenant unions.
In addition to the inception of the union and its history, we are currently collecting organising resources and materials relating to specific campaigns including for rent controls at a national level and against SERCO’s mass eviction of asylum seekers (2018/19). We’re also planning to work with union members to document branch histories across the city and strategic campaigns.
